In the past month of November, Valencia hosted a MotoGP test day where the 2024 bikes were seen in action for the first time. However, there are still five official testing days before the start of the season and room for changes.
At Ducati, General Manager Gigi Dall’Igna assured Motorsport.com that there will be visible alterations to the Desmosedici GP24: ‘That one [from Valencia] was at the beginning of its development. There will be modifications that will be seen soon’.
Being the only manufacturer without any concessions under the new system, testing opportunities on the track will be limited for Ducati – which, unlike its rivals, cannot participate in the shakedown with regular riders or have wildcards, in addition to having a frozen engine and being allowed only one update to aerodynamics.
