The Haas F1 team announced that Nico Hulkenberg will leave the Formula 1 team at the end of the 2024 season. It is anticipated that Hulkenberg will join Sauber, which is set to become Audi, under a multi-year contract. Hulkenberg, an experienced veteran, joined Haas in early 2023, marking his return to full-time racing since 2019. He has been instrumental in the team’s performance, contributing nine of the 12 points. In the current season, Hulkenberg has already accumulated four points in the first three races, putting Haas in seventh place in the Constructors’ Championship. Ayao Komatsu, the team principal of Haas, expressed gratitude to Hulkenberg for his valuable contributions and praised his role in improving the team’s overall performance. Haas has not yet released details about their lineup for the 2025 season and beyond. Kevin Magnussen, who has been with the team since 2017, except for a one-year break in 2021, and young talent from the Ferrari Driver Academy, Ollie Bearman, are among the potential candidates for the team’s future endeavors. Bearman, who made his Formula 1 debut for Ferrari in Saudi Arabia, achieved an impressive seventh place. He already had a taste of Formula 1 with Haas in 2023, participating in FP1 sessions in Mexico City and Abu Dhabi.
