If there were any doubts about Trackhouse Racing’s ambition and commitment to MotoGP, those were dispelled last week with the announcement of Davide Brivio’s hiring as team principal. He is one of the most experienced in that role in the premier category and also has a recent stint in motorsport with Alpine from 2021 to 2023.
Jeremy Appleton, consultant for Trackhouse Racing — where Miguel Oliveira and Raúl Fernández compete — stated that Brivio’s hiring demonstrates the project’s ambitions and seriousness, in addition to bringing everything that the Italian will add:
– I think Justin’s [Marks, owner] ambitions are pretty big and he is building the foundations for us to take the team forward. So having Davide onboard is a huge step. I’m not here to say it’s a massive stroke, but certaintly I think it demonstrates Trackhouse’s seriousness about the way we want to go racing, the way we want to approach MotoGP. But we’re brand-new and so we want to be humble about it, learn the right ways to do it, and Davide is going to be able to help us to do it alongside Wilco [Zeelenerg, team manager] and the crew in the garage.
