Taking advantage of the extended testing opportunities thanks to the MotoGP’s new concessions system, Honda is conducting tests at the Circuito de Jerez Ángel Nieto on Tuesday and Wednesday for the upcoming season.
According to Motorsport.com, Stefan Bradl was the selected rider. This marks the German rider’s first contact with the RC213V prototype, previously tested by Joan Mir, Johann Zarco, and Luca Marini in Valencia last November.
But that’s not all. During these tests, the bike is fitted with several new components that arrived from Japan last Sunday, potentially considering feedback from the official test day less than a month ago. It’s unknown whether the new engine was also used by Bradl during these two days at Jerez.
