Brad Binder was one of the riders to shine brightest today in the Sprint race at Motegi. Shortly after the start, the South African gained three positions and regretted not being able to follow his plan to the letter… because of Jorge Martín.
Here’s the #33’s reaction in parc ferme: ‘Jeez, I really had a great start actually, got into turn 1 and got up inside a couple of guys, back straight I got up to get inside Jack [Miller]. My plan was to try to get to the front straight away but Jorge had incredible pace and I couldn’t believe the lap times we were doing’.
Happy with his position, Binder promises to try something similar tomorrow: ‘It was a great race, amazing, and I’m happy to be back on the podium. My boys did an incredible job and the bike worked better than as worked all year I’m happy and we’ll try tomorrow’.
