Sprint races still divide opinions in MotoGP after their first season. Some riders like them, while others would prefer not to have them at every Grand Prix. Brad Binder shared his opinion.
In an interview with Corse di Moto, the Red Bull KTM rider revealed that he particularly enjoys Sprint races because they are short events where you are constantly pushing to the limit, although he acknowledges that they are more physically demanding:
– It’s strange because the truth is I realized that the Sprint is much more physical than the main race because in the main race, you have to worry about tire wear and everything. While in the Sprint race, it’s like an attack from the first lap; it’s about ten to 12 laps. Honestly, I prefer the Sprint race because I like pushing to the limit more than trying to make the tires last until the end.
