Aleix Espargaró didn’t make it to the end of the MotoGP Malaysian GP, being forced to retire following a crash. The rider did not have the best sensations aboard the Aprilia, being aware of the high risk he was taking.
The Spaniard told the press that in the warm-up, he made a significant change to the bike and even felt faster… but also closer to the limit:
– It’s a weekend really to forget. This morning we’ve changed completely the bike trying to be faster. I reset the front, I made the swingarm shorter and I was very fast in the warm-up. But I said to my team: «I feel that I’m even more on the front, so the risk is very high». And it was like this, so I crashed.
