Óscar Haro on the ‘Fast and Curious’ podcast talked about the three contenders for the MotoGP world championship title. The former LCR Honda sporting director was undecided about who would win the title, but revealed that he would very much like Jorge Martín to do so.
– I think there’s no rival for Jorge in Sprint. I think he has fantastic mental strength and race pace. In the long race, Pecco’s experience makes him very strong. And then there’s Marc, who’s a bit of a mix of the two. He has the old rider’s trick, with the explosiveness that Jorge has. But he lacks the kilometers. I think what he has to do now is be smart and finish the races. If I have to say it from the bottom of my heart, I would love Jorge Martín to win, because of what a satellite team represents. He deserves to be World Champion. But as he still has a car, I’d give the title to Marc. For the sacrifice he made unnecessarily.
He added about the ‘haters’ of the MotoGP world championship: “The best come to MotoGP. They’re guys with a lot of qualities, otherwise you don’t make it. These ugly, destructive criticisms of people who get on a bike at 360 km/h are probably made by people who watch the races from their sofa at home, who have never been on a bike in their life. It’s very easy to criticize and it’s very easy to destroy. What’s really complicated in life is loving and building.’
