Davide Brivio’s last season before leaving MotoGP was marked by Joan Mir’s rider title with Suzuki in 2020. Now, he returns to the premier class as team principal of Trackhouse Racing.
The Americans are still taking their first steps and are the satellite team of Aprilia – which, at the moment, still doesn’t have the most competitive bike on the grid. The riders are Miguel Oliveira and Raúl Fernández.
Asked if it would be a dream to start at Trackhouse with a victory as he ended at Suzuki, Brivio replied: ‘I wasn’t there when [Álex] Rins won. I left with a championship, which is more important than a race! [laughts]. If you ask me if I want to restart winning the championship? Yes! But then to do it it’s another story’.
