Marco Bezzecchi won the MotoGP Indian GP, a result that puts him 44 points behind the championship lead, currently held by Francesco Bagnaia (Ducati). It’s a situation that pleases the Mooney VR46 Racing Team rider, although he continues to take it race by race.
The #72 said in a press conference: ‘I’m still not thinking in the championship because it’s very long. But to be closer, anyway, I would lie if I told you I don’t like. Because to be able to fight with Pecco and Jorge, Brad as well because he is also close… they are amazing riders, so for me is an honour’.
After his victory in India, Bezzecchi made a point to dedicate it to a friend who passed away: ‘In this race I just wanted to enjoy the day. For me it wasn’t an easy week because unfortunately I lost a friend some days ago. So I just want to dedicate this to him and his family and enjoy the moment. And then I go to Japan, that is a track that I really like’.
