Brad Binder, who was involved on Sunday (3 September) in one of the most violent crashes of the season, where he ended up being one of the protagonists when he “ran over” Pecco Bagnaia, admitted that he was still in shock after the end of the Catalunya GP.
Binder described: “It’s been a crazy last few hours, I got a good first start and got between Maverick and Miguel coming out of the first and second corner, coming out of the second corner I didn’t see anything until Pecco and his bike in front of me appeared on the ground with all the other riders swerving. I ended up not being able to dodge and I went over his leg and fell further ahead.
Binder also showed his concern for the Italian rider and even went to visit the Ducati rider at the medical station: “Thank God I could see that he was moving and he seemed fine, obviously he seemed hurt, but fine. I went to visit him at the medical center and he was fine, I spoke to him and he felt well despite the injuries on his legs.’
