Currently in WSBK, the BMW ROKit WorldSBK team continues to surprise, not only because of the acquisition of Toprak Razgatlioglu, who continues to deliver the best results the German team has had in WSBK, but also because of the change in team dynamics.
His teammate Michael Van der Mark is no exception and has shown very solid numbers in recent races, placing inside the top 10 five times, including a fourth place in the Catalunya GP. Team boss Shaun Muir spoke to Speedweek about the development that has taken place since the start of the season:
– ‘There’s no denying that the bike has improved over the winter. We didn’t expect such progress after the challenges encountered in Australia and Catalunya. Toprak was a game-changer. We’ve been participating in the world championship since 2016, with podiums, pole positions and victories in sprint races, but the Toprak has taken the project to a whole new level’.
