Jack Miller (and KTM) are ready to start the season. The australian was happy with the way his preseason went, saw the bike getting better and believes that it is ready to get the action going, despite saying he can still make a few changes, little tweaks to the setup, to make it even better.
Speaking after the second day of tests in Qatar, the Red Bull KTM Factory Racing said: ‘It was a positive last day here, I’m pretty happy where we are at with the bike. The time was stupid again, Pecco’s getting in the 50’s. I’m happy where we are. I made a few setup changes and I think we are in the good place to start the season, I feel good and I’m looking forward to come here again and doing it all over again, but for real this time’.
As if his main job on the second day was more racing related, the australian confirmed: ‘Yeah, it was all race stuff pretty much, just trying to play with setup like wheel base and stuff like that. I think we got the things we needed, maybe need to tweak a few things as always, we motorbike racers are always complaining about something. There is a few little areas que can try to play a little but I’m pretty happy with the time attack’.
Still it is possible to do even better he believes, despite saying that the package overall is already very competitive:
– Wanted a little more, messed up a little, it’s always tricky with the dusty line. Just on the outside you make a slight mistake and it’s super hard to comeback on the line, but all and all it was a good test. It’s been a good preseason, the boys have done a fantastic job throughout the winter, with the improvements we’ve made and I think we have a very competitive bike to come racing.
