Jawa Motorcycles is known for its retro-style cruisers that offer a relaxed and personalized ride. Their latest model takes the whole custom vibe to a whole new level, as it gets features more often found on custom models. It’s called the Jawa 42 Bobber Black Mirror and, as you might have guessed, it has lots of chrome details.
For starters, the new 42 Bobber Black Mirror features a chrome fuel tank, giving the bike a sleek, refined look that contrasts perfectly with its overall bold, retro design. It also has two-tone diamond-cut alloy wheels and tubeless tires. The crankcase and engine covers have been redesigned, with an elegant black finish and false cooling fins on the cylinder head. Meanwhile, the side panel has a black finish and displays the “42 Bobber” symbol.
In addition to these improvements, Jawa Motorcycles has made some mechanical improvements to the bike. Namely, they increased the size of the throttle body from 33 millimeters to an additional 38 millimeters. In addition, they lowered the idle RPM from 1,500 rpm to a smoother 1,350 rpm, and made changes to the fuel map for optimum performance. To ensure a more comfortable ride, the rear monoshock has been fine-tuned.
As far as technology is concerned, the 42 Bobber Black Mirror’s engine remains consistent with that of the standard Bobber. It is equipped with a 334 cc liquid-cooled, fuel-injected single-cylinder engine with 29 hp of maximum power and a peak torque of 32.7 Nm. This power is transferred efficiently to the rear wheel via a six-speed manual gearbox, which now comes equipped with a practical slipper clutch.
