Jeffrey Buis made the double in the second race of the World Supersport 300 Championship at Magny-Cours. With this win, he leaves France with two wins and the championship lead.
A large group of riders battled for the top positions. Dirk Geiger (Freudenberg KTM Paligo Racing), Loris Veneman (MTM Kawasaki) and Buis (MTM Kawasaki) took turns at the front. Matteo Vannucci (AG Motorsport Italia Yamaha) was also in contention but he fell behind due to a crash and later retired from the race.
On the final lap, Geiger suffered a crash at turn 5 and, despite managing to stay in the race, ultimately crossed the finish line in ninth place. Buis faced competition from Mirko Gennai (Team BrCorse/Yamaha) and José Pérez González (Accolade Smrz Racing BGR/Kawasaki) until the end, securing the win with a 0.668s gap over Gennai. Pérez González completed the podium ahead of Daniel Mogeda (Kawasaki GP Project). Veneman finished fifth.
