Jeffrey Buis secured his second win of the season in the World Supersport 300 Championship this Saturday. The rider from MTM Kawasaki was the winner of a closely contested first race at Magny-Cours.
Among the contenders for the top positions from the start, the Dutchman only took the lead for good on the penultimate lap. Until then, leadership changes were constant. Dirk Geiger (Freudenberg KTM Paligo Racing) and Matteo Vannucci (AG Motorsport Italia Yamaha) also spent laps at the top.
After assuming the lead on lap 11, Buis managed to build a solid gap, finishing 1.890s ahead of Kevin Sabatucci (Team Flembbo-Pi Performances/Kawasaki). Loris Veneman (MTM Kawasaki) completed the podium, with Geiger and José Pérez González (Accolade Smrz Racing BGR/Kawasaki) rounding out the top five.
