For the second consecutive weekend in Indonesia, the MXGP World Motocross Championship headed to Lombok. This Saturday, Jeffrey Herlings emerged victorious in the qualifying race.
The race was full of excitement. Tim Gajser (Team HRC) made the holeshot and led a significant portion of the race ahead of Herlings (Red Bull KTM), who was under pressure from Calvin Vlaanderen (Monster Energy Yamaha).
However, Herlings eventually freed himself from that pressure and began attacking Gajser, completing the overtake with three laps remaining. The Dutchman did not give the Slovenian a chance to respond, defeating him by 1.386s.
Vlaanderen had to contend with opposition from Jorge Prado (Red Bull GasGas) but managed to hold off the championship leader to secure third place. Jeremy Seewer (Kawasaki) completed the top five.
