At the end of January, on-track preparations for the new season of the World Superbike Championship will resume. There will be a two-day test in Jerez on January 24 and 25.
According to Motosan.es, Kawasaki was the first to secure a spot, but all teams and riders who want to take part can do so. Some may have been put on a waiting list due to the shortage of available garages, but the presence of BMW, Ducati, Honda, and Yamaha teams is also expected.
Thus, it is expected to see two-time champion Álvaro Bautista back in action, preparing for the new minimum weight rules for the season. Other notable riders making their moves to different teams include Razgatlioglu and Jonathan Rea on BMW and Yamaha, respectively. Additionally, Andrea Iannone will make his debut in the championship riding a Ducati for Team GoEleven.
