Nashville hosted another round of the AMA Supercross 450, with Jett Lawrence to end the main event with the win. The Honda rider wasn’t the only one to lead, as Eli Tomac spent ten laps in the front but was no match for the (now) sole championship leader.
The most awaited race of the evening started with Tomac (Yamaha) to take the holeshot at the Nissan Stadium, in front of J.Lawrence (Honda) and Ken Roczen (Suzuki) but it was the german who got to be the main pursuer of the #3 in the following laps.
On the eight lap Lawrence returned to the second place and, three laps after he got to the lead of the race for the very first time. From the 13th lap (until the last, 20th) there was six different riders in second, as Lawrence continued to extend his lead.
In the end the great winner of the round was the #18, beating Tomac by 9.323s second, while Cooper Webb (Yamaha) secured the last place of the podium. Jason Anderson (Kawasaki) was fourth and Justin Barcia (GASGAS) was fifth.
As for the championship accounts, the leader, alone, is J.Lawrence with 286 points, five more than Webb. Tomac closes the top three with 253.
