Joan Mir retired from the last two Grand Prix races of the MotoGP season. The next event is the Thai GP, where the Repsol Honda rider aims to conclude the series of three consecutive rounds on a more positive note
Despite the struggles at Phillip Island, the rider from Mallorca expressed optimism for Buriram, stating: ‘We arrive at the last of three intense races in a row, but our focus and determination is exactly the same. Last weekend was complicated, but the Honda has been strong here in Thailand in the past so let’s see what is possible this coming weekend’.
Given the differences in conditions and the track, Mir believes that a good and quick adaptation will be essential: ‘Buriram is a really different track compared to Phillip Island, also the weather looks a little bit warmer! As such, it will be important to adapt the bike early and well’.
