Bad news for Joe Roberts. Friday’s crash during the first practice session of the Moto2 Dutch GP had serious consequences, ruling him out for the rest of the Assen round.
The OnlyFans American Racing rider went to the circuit’s medical center after the fall. There, he was diagnosed with a fracture in his right collarbone and thus was declared unfit for the Dutch GP.
With the German GP already next week, Roberts may not recover in time to compete at Sachsenring, but he will then have about a month of summer break before the British GP.
Missing Assen could be costly for the American, who is in second place in the championship, seven points behind leader Sergio García (MT Helmets-MSi/Boscoscuro)… and on Friday, the Italian manufacturer dominated both sessions, making the Spaniard one of the favorites for the win.
