Usually the schedule and program for the World Superbike Championship doesn’t allow riders to relax a bit and actually enjoy their time on the motorcycle but that wasn’t what happened yesterday at Silverstone, in an event by Monster, where Jonathan Rea was present.
The six time WSBK champion enjoyed his time at the british track to spend a nice and fun day, riding along many charismatic former (and current) riders, and in words to the website of the brand, didn’t shy away from taking all the day had to offer: ‘I’m embracing the event! This is so cool because I never usually get the chance to hang out with peers. I had a good chat with John McGuiness and Michael Dunlop and then sharing the track with GP guys, TT guys, BSB and my peers in Superbike in a really relaxed atmosphere is cool’.
And he didn’t forget the fast paced world he actually lives in, taking a moment to just… enjoy:
– When you are in the hustle and bustle of a race weekend then you are in your own little bubble worrying about your performance but here you can just enjoy riding a motorbike, hanging out with the crew and be less focused on performance.
