Jordi Torres led the first practice session of the MotoE Austrian GP this morning. The session at the Red Bull Ring was tight, with less than a tenth of a second separating the top three.
Alessandro Zaccone (Tech3 E-Racing) was leading after the first few laps, but just over a minute later, he was overtaken by Alessio Finello (Felo Gresini). Times were constantly changing in the first ten minutes.
But with just over nine minutes into the practice, Torres (Openbank Aspar) set the fastest time of the session. Even though there were more than five minutes left, no one could beat the Spaniard.
The closest competitor was Eric Granado (LCR E-Team) at 0.064s, followed by Óscar Gutiérrez (Axxis-MSi) at 0.083s. Mattia Casadei (LCR E-Team) and championship leader Héctor Garzó (Dynavolt Intact GP) completed the top five.
