Álex Márquez emerged victorious in the Sprint race of the MotoGP Malaysian GP. The Gresini rider has already admitted that he expected a particularly strong performance in the long race, so he might become a contender for top positions on Sunday in Sepang alongside Francesco Bagnaia (Ducati) and Jorge Martín (Prima Pramac/Ducati).
However, this doesn’t concern Martín. The Spanish rider believes that Márquez may not be able to have such a strong approach, especially considering how he is riding the bike:
– I think tomorrow will be a completely different race. What I saw is he was spinning quite a lot and he makes time, but after 12 laps there is no way to ride like this. If he is able to keep that pace for more five or six laps, he will win – 100%. Hopefully we can make a step to be closer and a step on the set-up do be faster.
