After being the fastest yesterday, Jorge Martín continues to show excellent form in the MotoGP tests in Sepang. The Prima Pramac rider has already beaten the Malaysian circuit record lap on the second day.
On his best lap, Martín clocked a time of 1m57.273s – below the official lap record – and currently holds just a 54 millisecond lead over Brad Binder (Red Bull KTM). Aleix Espargaró (Aprilia) is third, followed by two-time world champion Francesco Bagnaia (Ducati). Fabio Di Giannantonio (Pertamina Enduro VR46/Ducati) is fifth.
Pedro Acosta (Red Bull GasGas Tech3/KTM) is once again showing speed and consistency, currently occupying eighth place less than half a second off the top. Joan Mir is the best of the Hondas in tenth, just ahead of the strongest Yamaha, Fabio Quartararo – the last of the riders who have already lapped in 1m57s.
In another day of adaptation to Gresini and Ducati, after yesterday’s setbacks, Marc Márquez is currently in 13th place, 0.845s behind Martín.
