The 18 riders who will compete for the pole position for the Moto3 Valencia GP have been determined. José Antonio Rueda, David Alonso, Taiyo Furusato and Riccardo Rossi secured the last spots in Q2.
Furusato (Honda Team Asia) was the leader at the beginning of Q1, with Lorenzo Fellon (CIP Green Power/KTM), Xavier Artigas (CFMoto Racing PrüstelGP), and Rossi (SIC58 Squadra Corse/Honda) also in qualifying positions.
Even without improvement, Furusato kept the lead, but was chased by Artigas. Fellon dropped to third, and Rueda (Red Bull KTM Ajo) climbed to fourth.
In the last five minutes, there were changes in the top four, with Alonso (Valresa GasGas Aspar) and Rossi getting into second and third, respectively. Artigas fell to fourth, before being overtaken by the Hondas from Rivacold Snipers Team: Matteo Bertelle and Romano Fenati.
With their final laps, Rueda and Alonso secured first and second positions, pushing Furusato to third. Rossi dropped to fourth but secured the qualification. Bertelle, finishing fifth, missed out by a mere 58 thousandths of a second.
