Toyota GAZOO Racing, a global automotive company, has been granted approval to replace Kalle Rovanperä and Jonne Halttunen with Sébastien Ogier and Vincent Landais in the upcoming ORLEN 80th Poland Rally. Ogier and Landais were forced to withdraw from the 7th stage of the FIA World Rally Championship 2024 due to their involvement in a traffic accident during the reconnaissance on Tuesday morning. While Landais has already been discharged from the hospital, Ogier will remain under observation overnight. Consequently, the event stewards have granted Toyota’s request to enlist the services of Kalle Rovanperä and Jonne Halttunen, both of whom are already two-time winners of the World Rally Championship. The stewards’ decision was made public at 8:35 PM local time and includes authorization to change the team and competition number from Car No. 17 (Sébastien Ogier / Vincent Landais) to Car No. 69 (Kalle Rovanperä / Jonne Halttunen).
