On the first day of the Misano round of the Superbike World Championship, Kawasaki announced that Alex Lowes will remain with the team for 2025 as the project transitions to Bimota by Kawasaki Racing Team.
Lowes joined the team in 2020 and is currently the most experienced rider, with Axel Bassani, who joined this year from Ducati’s Motocorsa Racing, on the other side of the garage.
Despite not being one of the most successful riders, Lowes has still attracted interest. Guim Roda, KRT’s team manager, revealed in a statement that there were other approaches, but the British rider chose to stay:
– We are super happy that Alex was positive to continue with us despite other offers he had. For sure now we all can move forward focused to finish 2024 season, and start making more history in 2025.
