All indications point to the MotoGP Indian GP being canceled – only the formal announcement from Dorna is pending. One of the consequences will be the rescheduling of the Kazakhstan GP.
The round to be held at the Sokol circuit was originally planned for June 14-16. However, the devastating floods that affected Central Asia a few weeks ago forced its postponement.
At the time, new dates were not announced… but now they may have been found: September 20-22, the original dates for the India GP.
According to Motorsport.com, the round at Buddh International Circuit is canceled. Fairstreet Sports CEO Pushkar Nath Srivastava mentioned moving the India GP to March 2025, citing the intense heat usually experienced in September as the reason. However, the actual reason appears to be a breach of contract with Dorna.
