The 2024 NASCAR Cup season has not been particularly successful for the Trackhouse Racing star driver. He has yet to secure a win this season, but is in a strong position to secure a spot in the playoffs based on points alone. Chastain currently holds the eighth position in the points standings due to his consistent finishes within the top 15 throughout the season.
Although Ross Chastain has achieved his best position this season, a fourth place, which is one of his two top-five finishes in 2024, his teammate has already secured his spot in the playoffs with a win in Atlanta. As the defending winner, Chastain hopes to end his winless streak in this weekend’s race in Nashville.
During a recent podcast, the 2014 Cup champion made his prediction for the upcoming race weekend and predicted that Ross Chastain will come out victorious in Nashville, despite it being the home track for several drivers. He emphasized that the unique characteristics of the track favor Chastain more than any other driver on the NASCAR grid.
On the other hand, Harvick’s co-host does not believe that the Trackhouse driver will win. As he has done throughout the season, he is betting on another driver to finally end his winless streak, considering his consistent performance so far this season.
It will be interesting to see which of the two drivers breaks their winless streak in Nashville, or if another driver will claim the victory. Both drivers have the potential to secure a playoff spot based on points, but a win would be of great benefit to them this season.
