Kia has announced that it has expanded the availability of the Kia Connect Store and launched an Over-the-Air (OTA) update service, which is available for models starting from 2022.
The application, which includes a wide range of digital features and services, was first launched with the Kia EV9 and includes a new subscription service that allows for wireless remote software updates.
This new subscription service for OTA updates includes, free of charge, one year with two updates for navigation maps and the infotainment system. After this usage period, the subscription service will be available starting from €89 per year (value may vary depending on the markets), including two annual upgrade packages.
“The launch of the Kia Connect Store and the subscription service inaugurates new levels of flexibility and customization in vehicle usage”, said Olivier Pascal, General Manager of Connected Cars at Kia Connect.
The South Korean brand ensures that future planned features will focus on entertainment, customization, driver assistance, navigation, and vehicle performance improvement.
