A Lamborghini and Iron Lynx continue to prepare for entry into the World Endurance Championship (WEC) and IMSA SportsCar Championship in 2024 with the SC63 LMDh, recently returning to testing in Jerez. And there were two new drivers behind the wheel: Edoardo Mortara and Matteo Cairoli.
There are still seats to be filled in both the WEC and IMSA endurance races, as the team already has four drivers under contract: Andrea Caldarelli, Daniil Kvyat, Mirko Bortolotti, and Romain Grosjean. According to Motorsport.com, Cairoli and Mortara do not have any contracts, at least for now. In Jerez, they completed over 2,000km together, in a program aimed at data collection and reliability work.
The Swiss driver has been competing in Formula E, but also spent several years in the DTM, while Cairoli has focused his career on endurance racing – mainly with Porsche, where he has already won the 24 Hours of Le Mans in the category.
