The Lamborghini continues to develop technology to enhance the driving experience of its customers who enjoy challenges on the track, and in this sense, it presented the Telemetry X.
The new system was unveiled at CES in Las Vegas, still as a prototype, and has the ability, according to the brand from Sant’Agata Bolognese, to anticipate a future immersive track driving experience based on the synergy of three systems developed in collaboration with Accenture: the Remote Garage in real time (remote training), the Biometric Data system, and the Digital Navigator.
The Remote Garage functionality uses a 5G connection to transmit video and data from the car, allowing drivers to receive live feedback from a technician or coach who can be anywhere in the world, without the need to sit next to the driver whenever they are on the track.
The Biometric Data system captures some driver data, including heart rate and stress level, to improve performance and driving technique.
These two systems work together with the Digital Navigator, which is nothing more than a proactive voice assistant that, after comparing the car and biometric data, provides the driver with the necessary feedback to improve their performance on the track, revealing where to brake for a perfect curve, or even lap times, as well as notifications about vehicle performance.
“In the near future, our supercars will increasingly offer not only emotions but also truly engaging driving experiences. Telemetry X anticipates the type of connected services that our customers will be able to experience in the coming years.”, said Stephan Winkelmann, President and CEO of Automobili Lamborghini.
