Despite the visible injury, Norris is expected to participate in the Miami Grand Prix, which starts on Friday.
Lando Norris was seen with his face bandaged after injuring himself during his free time in Amsterdam.
The British driver, who was on vacation in the Dutch capital, had the accident right before the upcoming Miami Grand Prix.
Reports suggest that Norris went to Amsterdam to take part in the Koningsdag (King’s Day) celebrations, where he suffered a cut on his face caused by broken glass while having fun on a boat.
Despite the obvious injury, Norris is expected to compete in the Miami Grand Prix, which starts on Friday.
His participation in the trio of races in the United States follows a strong start in the 2024 Formula 1 season.
Currently holding fifth place in the driver’s standings, Norris has achieved two podium finishes in the first five races.
His recent success includes a second-place finish in the Chinese GP, with his goal for the ongoing season focused on securing a victory of his own.
Expressing his aspirations, Norris stated: “I believe I can win a championship with McLaren, that’s why I signed another contract.
“I definitely think I can challenge Max and give him a good fight.”
He acknowledged Max Verstappen’s formidable skills, emphasizing the challenge of competing against him for the championship.
Addressing the possibility of facing Verstappen directly, Norris said: “I’m not afraid of Max at all, I’m excited to compete against him.
“People consider him one of the best, so I would like to prove myself by facing him on equal terms.”
He expressed his enthusiasm for genuine competition on the track, aiming to showcase his racing skills by engaging in positional battles instead of succumbing to Verstappen’s superior speed.
