Currently in a good phase of his season, Lando Norris promises to be once again one of the drivers to consider for the top positions in the Mexico City Grand Prix of Formula 1. Yesterday he set the second best time of the first day at the Autódromo Hermanos Rodríguez, just 0.119s behind Max Verstappen (Red Bull).
The McLaren youngster was pleased with the start in Mexican lands: ‘A good start to the weekend, it’s close. We will continue to try to improve, but it’s a good start. I think overall we started the weekend well. We always have a good idea of where to place the car, and it usually isn’t far from where we end up, so there isn’t much to gain throughout the weekend’.
Nevertheless, Norris assured that there is always room for improvement: ‘However, there are always small things we can improve and work on, and those things add up. So, there is still something to improve, but we had a good start and we can build from here’.
