While Marco Bezzecchi continues with the Pertamina Enduro VR46 Racing Team for the third season, Fabio Di Giannantonio joins the team this year – coming from Gresini.
The rider took some time to show his potential, but he ended last season on a high note – fighting for podiums and even winning for the first time in the premier class, at the Qatar GP.
Speaking to MotoGP.com, the VR46 team manager, Pablo Nieto, emphasized that Di Giannantonio’s potential has already been evident, but for 2024, it will be important first and foremost to gain knowledge and build relationships within the garage:
– We saw the potential he has in the end of last year’s season. It’s true that this is the first time we are working together, so we have to know each other because in the end it’s really important to get that relation with the crew chief, mechanics and all the team. But he already knows the bike, this is important.
