Lorenzo Savadori will make his fourth wildcard appearance of the MotoGP season at the Austrian GP this weekend. Aprilia is allowed six wildcard entries throughout the year, and their test rider will focus on developing the bike.
Although not fully recovered from the accident during the Sprint race at the Dutch GP, the Italian highlighted that there will be plenty of work in Spielberg:
– I can’t wait to get back to racing. I’m still not at 100% physical fitness, but I have made progress. I’ll be racing with a laboratory bike and we’ll be trying several upgrades. There will be plenty of work to do, including for the future.
In his previous appearances this season, Savadori was unable to participate in the main race at the Dutch GP, retired at the Spanish GP, and finished 21st in Italy.
