Following Álex Márquez, Luca Marini is the second withdrawal from the Indian MotoGP. The Mooney VR46 Racing Team rider sustained an injury in a crash on Saturday at the first corner of the sprint race.
After the incident, the Italian was taken to the circuit’s medical center, where a fracture of his left collarbone was diagnosed. He his unfit due to the injury and thus he is unable to continue in the Indian GP. The rider was also taken to a hospital.
As this stage of the season comprises several races within a few weeks, Marini risks missing more rounds: at least the Japanese GP, which is scheduled for the next weekend.
