Luca Marini was the fastest rider in the morning session of the MotoGP testing day at Misano. It was on his final lap of the session that the Mooney VR46 Racing Team rider overtook Jorge Martín grabbing the lead.
The Italian posted a time of 1m31.164s, which was 0.187s faster than his rival from Prima Pramac – who ended the morning with a technical issue on his Ducati. Maverick Viñales (Aprilia) was third, ahead of Jack Miller (Red Bull KTM). Johann Zarco (Prima Pramac/Ducati) finished fifth.
The CryptoDATA RNF MotoGP Team’s Aprilias followed, with Raúl Fernández beating his teammate Miguel Oliveira on his last lap of the session. A bit further down in ninth place was Augusto Fernández (GasGas Tech3/KTM), who, with 49 laps, is the rider with the most mileage so far.
