In 2025, Marc Márquez will join Francesco Bagnaia in Ducati’s factory team. Together, they will form one of the strongest duos the Borgo Panigale constructor has ever had, both possessing an insatiable desire for success.
Former rider Mick Doohan told TNT Sports that this pairing of riders could bring benefits to Ducati from the perspective of bike development… although it might not be as advantageous for other riders on the Desmosedici GP:
– I think both have very strong and different personalities, but their mentalities are very similar. Therefore, I believe it will be beneficial for Ducati and they could develop the bike very well, which might make things harder for the other riders of the brand.
It’s worth noting that Ducati chose Márquez over Enea Bastianini and Jorge Martín, opting for a rider with six titles in the premier class instead of continuing their work with promoting younger riders.
