Marco Bezzecchi faces one of the most special rounds for him in the MotoGP season this weekend – the Italian GP at Mugello, where he competes on home turf for one of the two times this year.
The Pertamina Enduro VR46 rider, who already has a podium in 2024, didn’t hide his excitement for this GP: ‘I’m always happy to race at Mugello, a truly special place. The track is certainly one of my favourites, perhaps my absolute favourite, some sequences of corners are among the most spectacular of the entire calendar. Then there is the atmosphere: we are at home, the cheering and all the fans’.
The Catalan GP was challenging for Bezzecchi, who finished only ninth in the main race after a DNF in the previous round. However, he remains undeterred and is determined to get back to good results at the Italian GP:
– We come from a difficult GP, we will continue to work on the aspects that affected us in Barcelona, we won’t give up and we hope to have a great weekend right in front of the Italian crowd. I will also have a special helmet, it’s beautiful and I can’t wait to show it to you on Saturday.
