A Portuguese company will launch a new micromobility solution in the national market, the Maria Bike, an irreverent and innovative electric vehicle that combines the best characteristics of electric scooters with the stability and comfort of the typical riding position of a conventional scooter.
According to the Penacova company, all components of the vehicle are easy to disassemble and reassemble, being made of a new biocomposite material, recycled, recyclable, and reusable in the production line.
Maria Bike points out that up to 30% of pollutant emissions in European cities come from road transport, a number it aims to help reduce as early as March 2024, when the first units will arrive on the market. The estimated price is around €3000 for the version that reaches a maximum speed of 45 km/h.
