Maserati has presented the GranCabrio, which debuts in the Trofeo version with 542 horsepower. The convertible from the Trident brand now features a fabric roof that can open and close in 14 seconds at a speed of up to 50 km/h.
For those who enjoy driving with the wind in their hair, Maserati has equipped the new GranCabrio with an innovative neck warmer, which heats the driver and passenger’s neck at three different intensity levels.
One of the optional extras is the wind deflector, which can be used with two passengers and manually folded. When the roof is open, it reduces turbulence inside the cabin and allows for optimal aerodynamics of the vehicle.
The rest of the cabin follows the latest Maserati models, with noble and elegant materials, and a clear reduction of physical buttons. It also features a rotary gearshift lever located on the central panel, between the climate control and an 8.8″ screen. Additionally, it includes the classic Maserati clock, voice assistant that responds to the command “Hey Maserati,” and a Maserati Intelligent Assistant (MIA) multimedia system with wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto connectivity.
The Grancabrio arrives on the market exclusively in the top-of-the-range Trofeo version and is therefore equipped with the Nettuno 6-cylinder internal combustion engine, a 3.0-liter twin-turbo with 542 hp of power and 650 Nm of maximum torque that are transmitted to all four wheels through an eight-speed automatic gearbox.
These numbers allow the Grancabrio to accelerate from 0 to 100 km/h in 3.6 seconds and reach a top speed of 316 km/h.
Maserati has announced that its new convertible is 100% made in Italy and follows in the footsteps of the GranTurismo, offering a new and captivating version of the ultimate Grand Tourer, without sacrificing luxury, performance, driving comfort, and sportiness.
