Aprilia introduced many new parts on its RS-GP bike for the 2024 MotoGP season, which will be ridden from the beginning by three riders: Alex Espargaró and Maverick Viñales in the factory team; and Miguel Oliveira in the satellite team Trackhouse Racing.
Each rider has its own characteristics, style and requirements and, despite the base must be the same and homologated for all of them, the bikes still can have significant changes for each rider. Massimo Rivola, Aprilia Racing’s CEO, spoke about this in an interview with MotoGP’s official website:
– We brought many parts. We need now to find the best combination for each single rider – and that will be the most important because at the end is the rider who goes on track and so we need to get the maximum out of this feeling. So maybe you will see three RS-GP 2024 with different configurations. We are ready to do that. Still it’s a long way to really understand this bike.
