Mercedes-Benz has confirmed that it will unveil the highly anticipated electric G-Class at the upcoming Beijing Auto Show at the end of April.
Known as the EQG, the fully electric 4×4 G-Class will be presented on April 24 and will be sold in the Chinese market as the G580 with EQ technology later this year.
The German brand did not provide details about the new 100% electric G model, which will be the ninth electric model from Mercedes-Benz. However, everything indicates that the model will likely have a powertrain consisting of four electric motors, one for each wheel, to enhance off-road performance.
It is worth noting that Mercedes recently refreshed the second generation of the G-Class, with updates to the electrified powertrain while maintaining its classic aesthetic.
