Miguel Oliveira’s future in MotoGP remains open, but he may be set to continue in the premier class. The Trackhouse Racing rider is out of contract and has not yet announced his plans for 2025.
However, rumors are circulating in the paddock that he has allegedly signed a two-year direct contract with Yamaha and Prima Pramac Racing. The constructor announced a partnership with Paolo Campinoti’s team, which includes placing factory-contracted riders.
For now, this remains speculation, as many rumors are circulating during this time when next year’s lineup is being defined. It’s important to take everything «with a pinch of salt» – especially since the agreement between Pramac and Yamaha is very recent, and it’s unclear if discussions regarding riders were already underway.
What is certain is that Trackhouse Racing team principal Davide Brivio admitted to Sky Sport MotoGP that renewing with Oliveira is more challenging than with Raúl Fernández – though the goal is to keep both riders.
For the Portuguese rider, this would be an opportunity to ride for a third different constructor, after KTM (Tech3 and Red Bull KTM) and Aprilia (RNF and Trackhouse). He would also have a factory contract with an ambitious Yamaha, which is investing heavily to return to strong results, in a potentially exciting project with a medium-term perspective on success.
