The Formula E race in Italy for the 2024 season still does not have a confirmed location, but it could be in Misano. At least, that’s the intention of the responsible parties of the circuit along the Adriatic coast.
Rome has always been the host of the electric single-seater championship in Italy, but its continuity is far from guaranteed – considering the many doubts about its ability to meet certain requirements for current single-seaters.
Luca Colaicovo, president of Misano, and management director Andrea Albani confirmed to the newspaper Il Resto del Carlino that this is one of the options on the table. The circuit’s officials have already started working on a bid, in addition to having already received a visit from the Formula E organization to observe the area in question. The bid has been submitted, now it remains to be seen if the championship is interested in making another deviation from city centers, as has already happened in Mexico and China, where the races will take place in racetracks and not in city circuits.
