The iconic Travel Enduro from Mandello del Lario is undergoing a major transformation and is debuting three new variants, each with a distinct personality.
For 2024, the Moto Guzzi V85 range consists of:
– V85 Strada
– V85 TT
– V85 TT Travel
The interpretation of the Moto Guzzi V85 now evolves in a more contemporary direction, refining numerous details that retain the charm of the original model.
The front headlight and instrument panel are now molded in aluminum, instead of the steel trellis of the previous generation, thus giving the bike a more dynamic and sporty presence. The rear handle (offered as optional equipment on the V85 Strada) is also made of aluminum, favoring passenger comfort and ergonomics.
The two-cylinder engine, which now has new cylinder heads and is Euro 5+, has an improved response, especially at low engine speeds. The result is an increase in torque – 83Nm at 5,100rpm – and power – 80CV at 7,750rpm.
Aerodynamic protection is now better, thanks to the redesigned wind deflector, which can be adjusted in height in 5 positions, for a total of 70 mm, guaranteeing a 37% reduction in wind pressure. On the other hand, both the new, wider hand guards and the patented upper part of the fuel tank reduce wind pressure on the rider.
The V85 range includes a new 5-inch TFT color display and new control buttons, redesigned for more intuitive access to the bike’s functions.
On the V85 TT and V85 TT Travel models, the monoshock now has spring preload adjustment via a knob, making it easier to operate when riding with a passenger or luggage.
The electronic equipment is also more extensive and now includes a 6-axis inertia platform (available as optional equipment on the V85 Strada), which enables features such as ABS Cornering, thus increasing safety.
Calibration of the electronic parameters – traction control, ABS and Ride-by-Wire throttle response – is easily managed via driving modes. The Road, Sport and Rain driving modes are standard on all models in the range, and the Off-Road mode is exclusive to the V85 TT and V85 TT Travel versions.
The V85 TT Travel also has the Custom riding mode (available as an option on the V85 Strada and V85 TT), which allows you to customize all the bike’s electronic parameters.
Moto Guzzi V85 Strada
This is the model that best represents the practicality of the V85, the ideal machine for everyday use and out-of-town excursions. It is characterized by a minimalist and elegant style, abandoning the hand guards, sump protection and passenger handles (available as optional equipment).
The aluminum wheels are new and their weight favors maneuverability, with the V85 Strada weighing 4kg less than the V85 TT version.
The road-going design is further emphasized by the lowered front fender, available in Nero Isola and Grigio Brera graphics. The retail price of the Moto Guzzi V85 Strada is €12,599, plus transport and expenses.
Moto Guzzi V85 TT
The V85 TT is the “off-roader” that embodies the original spirit of the V85, with a style that harks back to the endurance motorcycles of the 1980s and with which you could do anything from daily commuting to long journeys. It is equipped with 17” and 19” spoked wheels and tubeless tires (150/70-17 and 110/80-19, respectively), a new aluminum crankcase guard and wider hand guards.
The Moto Guzzi V85 TT stands out for its red painted frame and Rosso Fuji and Grigio Tambora graphics.
The retail price of the Moto Guzzi V85 TT is €13,599, plus transport and expenses.
Moto Guzzi V85 TT Travel
The V85 TT Travel features a range of new features that take on-board comfort to the next level.
It features a Touring front wind deflector, with 22% more surface area than the base version, and new side deflectors, ideal for traveling on the highway and in cold weather.
As a result, wind pressure on the rider’s helmet is reduced by 50% compared to the V85 TT, and the front deflector is adjustable to 5 levels. The equipment includes the Urban series side bags, with a new finish, with a capacity of 37 liters (right) and 27.5 liters (left), both of which can be unlocked with the same key.
Also standard are heated hand grips and a heated driver’s seat, the temperature of which can be adjusted using the controls located next to the left hand grip.
Completing the special equipment of this version is Moto Guzzi MIA, the multimedia platform that allows you to connect your smartphone to the vehicle, thus extending the functions available.
The Moto Guzzi V85 TT Travel is available in Bronzo Desert graphics. The retail price of the Moto Guzzi V85 TT Travel is €14,999, plus transport and expenses.
