MV Agusta has unveiled the Superveloce 1000 Serie Oro, a new 205hp, four-cylinder retro superbike limited to just 500 units. This motorcycle has been eagerly awaited since the concept was presented in Milan in 2022 and the prototype at last year’s Eicma show.
Most of the units have already been snapped up by MV Agusta’s wealthiest customers. A more accessible version has not yet been confirmed, but it is likely to be released, or at least that’s the impression given.
Keeping with the tradition of Serie Oro editions started with the F4 750 in 1997, the Superveloce 1000 features 41 carbon fiber elements and front winglets inspired by the 1972 500cc Grand Prix racing motorcycle. The design remains in-house, even after Pierer Mobility acquired 50.1% of the Italian brand.
The Brutale 1000RR’s 998cc four-cylinder engine has been upgraded for this model, offering 205.2hp at 13,000rpm, with high-quality components such as titanium connecting rods and DLC-coated cams. The bike hits 14,000rpm before the redline, with a four-outlet exhaust under the seat developed by Akrapovič.
Electronic aids include eight stages of traction control, front wheel lift control, two-way quickshifter, cornering ABS, cruise control and mobile connectivity via a 5.5-inch TFT dash. It also has a satellite alarm and a tracker with a one-year free subscription.
The chassis features electronically adjustable 43mm inverted Öhlins forks, an Öhlins steering damper and a fully adjustable rear shock absorber, also electronic. The partially spoked wheels are fitted with Pirelli Diablo Supercorsa SP V4 tires with exclusive red details.
Each Superveloce 1000 Serie Oro comes with a certificate of authenticity and a dedicated cover, as well as accessories such as a leather and Alcantara passenger seat and CNC brake and clutch levers.
