By moving to a Gresini Ducati, Marc Márquez has been considered one of the main contenders for the MotoGP title this year. However, neither the rider nor the team has set that as the goal.
Nadia Padovani, owner of Gresini, told Sky Sport Italia that they aim to finish in the top five of the championship: ‘Expectations with Marc are high, but we haven’t set the goal of winning the Championship. We want to be at least in the top five in the standings’.
The spotlight has never been so focused on Gresini, but the team owner assured that pressure is not the main feeling within the team: ‘It’s more the desire to start than the pressure, absolutely. Because we can’t wait to hit the track with these riders and see where we can get this year’.
